Assistance with the IC module is requested.

I own a Mercedes GLA, and unfortunately, the footwell on the passenger side was flooded. After thoroughly drying and cleaning the area, I discovered that the instrument cluster module had been damaged due to burning. After purchasing a replacement with identical component numbers, I am now experiencing difficulty starting the vehicle. I am receiving these fault codes when I connect it to the Launch diagnostic tool.

How can I write the code for it?

You will want the assistance of an individual who has a Genuine MB STAR device for the purpose of coding. It is not possible to use Launch diagnostic scanners to code MB autos, unlike BMW and certain other brands. Is there a nearby automotive technician who specialises in servicing Mercedes-Benz vehicles independently?

From whence did you get the new module? The fact that it is labelled as 'Taught in' is peculiar, unless the diagnostics you are using have the capability to do that function (yet not being able to carry out the drive authorization procedure). This leads me to believe that it is a pre-owned device.

whether the cluster controller is not new, but rather old, it is necessary to have it reset to its original state, a process known as "virginising". However, I am uncertain whether this can be done with W177 cluster controllers. After the virginising process, the controller must be linked with the automobile and undergo coding procedures, among other steps.

It is a pre-owned module that I purchased on eBay.

It is not functional. These tools are a component of the anti-theft system. I have examined the available tools that may reset instrument clusters to their original state, but none of them are compatible with the newest generation Instrument Cluster controller. Consequently, there is currently no known method to restore them to their factory settings.

Is there no feasible method to programme this, or is there a possibility to restore the damaged unit? Dealers are requesting £1500 plus value-added tax for a replacement, and I am reluctant to pursue that option.

It is not possible to programme a pre-owned one. It is a component of the automobile's security and odometer display system, ensuring safety.

Electronics and water are incompatible, so unless you are really fortunate and can locate someone capable of restoring the old machine, it will not function and is likely to malfunction even after cleaning. Additionally, it is not sufficient to just connect a new one and expect it to function properly. Instead, you must do the Initial Startup procedure using online Xentry to synchronise it with the vehicle and programme it according to the car's specifications.

Additionally, there are several electrical ducts including connections located under the floor. It is essential to clean, replace, or repair these components, as they may significantly impede the car's ability to start.

Regrettably, I must convey only negative information.

What was the cause of the water infiltration?
