2024 Mazda CX9 PHEV with Remote Start

What is preventing me from remotely starting the 2024 Mazda CX9 PHEV using the car's app? I get a notification indicating that the request was unsuccessful.

The temperature control can only be initiated via the application, which I believe is its intended function to maintain the car's warmth.

There are two options...

1) The automobile failed to receive the signal.
2) The system was undergoing an upgrade or experiencing a technical problem.

Earlier today, I assisted a buddy with synchronising a new phone with their Mazda vehicle, and throughout the process, a message similar to the following was shown...

"The process of obtaining the authorization code might require a maximum of 12 hours."

Attempt it once again on the next day. Monitor for any recurrence. If that is the case. Clear the cache of the application and update the application. whether the issue persists, notify your dealership so they can assess whether there is a solution, such as a telematics update that cannot be performed by the user.

What is the process for clearing the cache of an application?

You should be able to access the application from the settings menu on your mobile device.

Choose the "MyMazda" option from your list of applications, and you should see a button labelled "clear app cache" or "clear cache". By clicking on it, the previous settings will be removed.

If clearing the cache proves ineffective, you may attempt to remove all application data as an alternative solution.

If the previous solution does not resolve the issue, proceed to remove the MyMazda App and thereafter download it again.

If the automobile continues to have malfunctions, it is possible that either a software update is required or there may be an underlying problem with the connection. Submit a formal inquiry or request for assistance with Mazda by creating a problem ticket.

We get an identical notice indicating that the request has not been successful. This vehicle seems to be riddled with several minor issues.

Occasionally, cellular handoffs may fail or reach their maximum capacity while attempting to establish a connection. The issue is with the level of signal intensity.

Remote start is only available on non Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) models. The PHEV operates its temperature control system on the assumption that the battery will be sufficient to provide the necessary heating and cooling, or that you have access to a charging source. Having a complete remote start system would be quite desirable, particularly in the Canadian Rockies.

It is necessary for someone to create a concise instructional video on using the application on YouTube. I had the same problem till I realised that the start button on the main page is non-functional. The automobile is completely unresponsive and fails to start. To get to the main page, you need to do a leftward swipe. You will locate the climate button. Press and maintain pressure on the large fan icon. Subsequently, the climate control page will be shown. Set the temperature to your desired level for the interior heating or air conditioning. Activate the defrost or rear window heating function, and then press the transmit button. You will get a notification indicating that the message has been successfully delivered. Subsequently, you must reload the page, and it may need a maximum of 30 seconds for it to indicate that it is active. It will display little undulations that simulate the flow of air. The application lacks user-friendliness and exhibits significant delays in transmitting messages to the vehicle. After the first 2-year membership expires, we will no longer be required to pay the exorbitant annual charge to continue using the app. Hopefully, this provides assistance.

Exceptionally beneficial. I much appreciate your assistance. I was unfamiliar with its operation, and entering the automobile in the chilly weather of New York is unpleasant without the remote start feature. The climate, at the very least, provides a pleasant environment. Thank you one again.
