The G31 spare key has lost its battery charge and I am unable to reprogram it to function with the automobile.

I neglected to use the extra key fob for my G31 for an extended period of time and discovered that its battery had completely discharged. It had been functional before, since my partner had used it a few months ago. Replaced the battery, but unable to make the vehicle acknowledge it. Using the correct key, I unlocked the vehicle and attempted to start it by placing the "new" key on the steering column. However, nothing happened, despite this method seeming to be successful for an F10 on YouTube. The car is equipped with the comfort go package, however it is uncertain if this has any impact. Although my local dealer is satisfactory, I would want to resolve this issue without having to take time from work to visit them.

Ensure that the battery is oriented correctly.

SteveRulz23, I agree with your statement. I had a similar situation last month with my wife's Mazda. There was a little label on the battery that I first overlooked. It took me some time to figure it out, and it was rather perplexing. It's unfortunate when unexpected issues arise.

That is how I repaired my friend's automobile by securely attaching it to the steering column, resulting in its proper functioning once again.
I do not have this feature on my automobiles, but after doing a search on Google, it seems to be the proper method.

In the past, I have attempted to install them while the sticker was still on and was unable to determine the cause of the issue.

I often engage in the task of replacing the door contacts on our home alarm system, doing so hastily in order to prevent accidentally triggering it.
They do not need that sticker, which is amusing.
