Is it advisable to replace the headlight lens cover for a Mercedes W211?

Greetings, everyone.
I own a Mercedes E-Class W211, and the headlights' lenses are in poor condition.
I am considering outsourcing the task of changing them, rather than doing it myself. I am willing to pay around £80 to someone for doing the work.

Both lenses have a price of around £40 each.

Is it worthwhile to change them?
I would much appreciate any guidance or recommendations.
Thank you.

I own two distinct products, but, I have seen no success so far. It seems that they need inside cleansing.

Which specific goods did you utilise?

It is somewhat peculiar that lights would get filthy or covered on the inside.

Replacing the lens covers requires removing the bumper. Next, you will need to place the lamps in the oven and bake them at a temperature of 85 degrees for a duration of 10-15 minutes. This process will effectively separate the lens from the lamp body. Subsequently, reseal the item and proceed to bake it once again. It is quite unlikely that anybody would be willing to do this task for a little £80.00.

I have undertaken this task to accommodate projector units inside my headlights, which has proven to be somewhat time-consuming.

Hello, I suggest using a high-quality wet and dry abrasive together with soapy water to clean the lenses. This method should effectively restore their condition.
I performed this task on the headlight lenses of my father's Polo. Maintain the wet and dry paper in a moist state.

The individual informed me that the task will need a duration of 2 hours. Additionally, he charges a rate of £40 per hour for any kind of work.

I have used the following two items: 1. K2 Pro Lamp doctor

Turtle Wax Headlights Restorer Wax.

Perhaps I should consider purchasing somewhat more costly options available on Amazon.

As previously said, begin with a coarse wet and dry sandpaper, followed by a finer grade, and then proceed to polish. They must deteriorate more before they improve. There is no risk and a total of £80, minus a few little amounts to be saved...

I would likewise find it astonishing if this task could be completed within a just 2-hour timeframe.

After sanding with wet and dry sandpaper, ideally with a grit finer than 600, you may apply two or three thin layers of a 2K clear finish using an aerosol. Amazon offers these items for around £20.
The clear coat covers the minuscule scratches and imparts a clear appearance while also serving as a UV protection.

For optimal results, I suggest removing the bumper and headlights off the vehicle before spraying them to eliminate any possibility of overspray. Apply a protective covering to the main part of the headlamp prior to applying spray.
