Reduced price for a recently manufactured Kia

I am interested in purchasing a Sportage spec 3 hybrid.
It has been a considerable amount of time since I last bought a vehicle, but in the past, I have always been able to negotiate the price or additional features in order to get a favourable agreement.
Recently, I evaluated a vehicle with low mileage from the 23rd registration year, which was valued at 30,999 pounds. I like the automobile, but, the most favourable offer from the dealer was a mere £250 reduction. The transaction included the direct exchange of money without any other items being traded.
I attempted to get a service package for my next two services, but, the dealer insisted that I could only do so if I also bought paint protection and wheel/tyre insurance, each priced at £299. We refused and left.
Was my expectation for more considered unreasonable?I am just curious to discover the bargains that others have successfully obtained.
Currently, I have come across many other automobiles that I find appealing. However, the dealership is located around 80 miles away. Would it be problematic to purchase a used vehicle, or can I rely on my local Kia dealer to address any potential issues that may arise?
I appreciate the assistance I have gotten so far on this forum.

It is understandable for you to anticipate a greater discount, as we all do. However, it is also justifiable for the dealer to not meet your expectations.
One contributing factor is that automobile costs, both for new and used vehicles, skyrocketed during the Covid pandemic. Individuals want automobiles for transportation purposes, leading to a significant increase in demand. Simultaneously, there was a significant decline in new vehicle production, as manufacturing firms were compelled to implement lockdown measures due to the pandemic and experienced a reduction in workforce due to the spread of the virus. Incorporating the Russian assault on Ukraine exacerbated the impact on supply networks, leading to a further deterioration of the situation.
The current situation is gradually improving, but producers are still far from reaching the production levels seen before the Covid-19 pandemic. Consequently, this has resulted in an increase in pricing. While the costs of used items are decreasing, it may be more challenging to discover significant reductions on virtually new items. Additionally, some models need a larger premium compared to others.
Will you get an exceptionally advantageous deal? I am sceptical and do not have the belief that we have entered a buyers market at this point. You may need to do an extensive and diligent search, and you may have to compromise and accept a fair agreement.
The distance travelled to make a purchase should not affect the validity of the guarantee, provided that the automobile has a complete service history. However, caution should be used when evaluating the attractiveness of a seemingly excellent offer. Is it really as advantageous as it appears? Is the dealer attempting to sell a problematic vehicle? Caveat emptor, which translates to "let the buyer beware," is a principle that advises buyers to be cautious and aware of potential risks while making a purchase.
This statement represents just my subjective perspective, while there are other viewpoints held by others. Best of luck in your hunt.

I appreciate your assistance.
The second dealer I am considering has around 5 vehicles with comparable mileage, so I assume that they do not fall into the category of being problematic. However, it is quite risky.

Approximately 15 months ago, I made a journey from London to Crewe with the purpose of purchasing a lightly used Kia that was just nine months old and had very few miles on it. The dealer maintained an extensive fleet of Kia Niros for Acorn Group, providing them with a wide selection of automobiles to choose from. Their offer, in terms of both price and trade-in value, was more favourable than that of a Kia dealership in London. Highly pleasant experience.

Thank you. The group I was examining is called Acorn.
Given the very competitive prices, I infer that they do not negotiate on pricing or provide any additional features.

Acorn has a fleet of around 50 Kia vehicles, which they regularly replace every 6 months. They promote many autos with a mileage approximated at 5,000. I inquired about a Niro that is coloured blue. The item was disappeared, but they presented me with a black one. However, upon its return, the black one had mileage that above the norm. At that point, the prospective buyer who intended to purchase the blue one had changed their mind and opted for a white one. Consequently, I was able to get the blue one that I want. Consequently, I was granted complimentary transport from Crewe to London. However, I want to inspect the automobile prior to exchanging my money. If my recollection serves me well, the only action taken was a little reduction in price for a 5-year service plan that I desired. Maybe I was too enthusiastic, but the vehicle had less miles and was younger compared to the ones I had viewed at Great Western Kia in London. Additionally, Acorn provided me with a more favourable trade-in offer for my 8-year-old Astra with low mileage. Furthermore, my interaction with Alex from Acorn was really satisfactory. I was content with the agreement. The automobile celebrated its second anniversary yesterday 🎂

The most promising opportunity to significantly reduce expenses is via financial management.
In contemporary times, cash no longer has the same level of dominance and authority as it had in the past.
Particularly considering that many are currently experiencing delays in receiving newly constructed Sportage vehicles.

Last year, I dedicated a significant amount of time searching for the specific automobile I want and a favourable bargain. It required many months and a 90-mile journey to get it. However, the outcome justified the effort.

It is now too early in the lifespan of the Sportage Gen 5 for a significant number of 3-year lease and PCP vehicles to become available in the marketplace, which would benefit potential purchasers.

Did you have any issues while purchasing from a dealer located 90 miles away? Undoubtedly, any warranty concerns may be addressed by your nearby dealer. The items that may need a second visit are the ones that you could overlook during your first assessment.

Based on my personal experience, I got a comprehensive film, and when I inquired about potential damage to the driver's seat, the dealer gladly verified that it was really an artefact captured in the video. I was dissatisfied with the automobile delivery, hence we arrived, conducted a test drive, and thoroughly inspected it. I had no issues, and my nearby Kia dealership, Hummingbird in Colindale, London, willingly provided servicing for my vehicle as part of the Kia servicing Plan.

There is absolutely no amount or quantity. I contacted them by telephone and scheduled a viewing appointment. Inquired about the need of a deposit. They said that if anybody else is interested, they will call and I could make a reservation. I did not.
I crossed across, observed, had a satisfactory test drive, and thoroughly inspected. During the test drive, they appraised the worth of my previous Niro HEV.
Upon returning, I expressed my desire to rely on factual data. The offer for my vehicle in the part-exchange exceeded both the valuation from WBAC and my first expectations. I did not negotiate the pricing or any other aspect. I was quite delighted. Returned the next weekend and retrieved. Discovered a new pair of floor mats in the trunk and also fabricated a set of licence plates for my own vehicle registration, even though I did not request them and I am not covered by insurance for them. 😍
To be honest, this has been the most exceptional experience I've ever had with a Kia dealer, and I really appreciate my local dealership.
Regrettably, they have ceased operations. However, there are no problems whatsoever with the automobile.
