I just acquired a beautiful 2019 C238 with minimal miles, after previously owning two C207's. I acquired the automobile from MB and it is equipped with the Command system. During the conversation, MB informed me that they did not provide Android Auto but suggested that I contact a third-party source for assistance. The supplier first declined to provide Android Auto for my automobile due to concerns about its reliability. Several months later, they informed me that they were pleased to carry out the installation, which they accomplished via a USB link. At first, the link would function flawlessly for a period of time, but thereafter, after covering a few kilometres, it would abruptly lose connectivity. By reconnecting the phone, Android Auto would instantly resume and retrieve any previously entered destination. However, it would subsequently disconnect again after a few miles. The provider replaced the cable in case it was the underlying problem, but there was no difference in the outcome. I have attempted to modify the phone's settings in order to see any impact, but unfortunately, there was none. In fact, upon connecting the phone, Android Auto now starts automatically. However, the connection is swiftly lost within seconds and this cycle repeats each time I attempt to establish a connection. I have manipulated the wires in order to inspect for any loose connections, and everything seems to be in proper working order. The phone charges continuously while connected. Undoubtedly, Google Maps and all other applications I have used function well on the phone.
The model of my phone is Galaxy S20FE SM-G780F/DS and it is now operating on Android 13. Does anybody have knowledge of a recommended list of Android Auto settings for my phone so that I can rule out that possibility? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Attempt to clean the cache on your mobile device. Perform a search on issues related to Samsung Android auto connectivity. I was first perplexed by the issue with mine until I figured it out.

An update: I saw that the "Mercedes Me" feature, while registered at the time of vehicle acquisition, was not functioning. Despite my little use of it, I made the decision to reactivate it... and to my surprise... Android Auto began instantly and functioned well for a subsequent trip I embarked on, spanning around 20 miles. During the return trip, Android Auto once again loaded automatically but disconnected after a brief period of time. This occurred many times until it subsequently functioned flawlessly for the rest of the trip. It seems that "Mercedes Me" has to be activated, but there may be another piece that is still incorrect. I will persist in attempting it and provide a detailed account of the result.

Has the garage ensured that the COMAND device is equipped with the most up-to-date firmware? The garage must possess a legitimate STAR certification with a valid subscription.

Acquire a new cable of superior quality and test it out. Approximately 90% of issues may be attributed to either software glitches or the requirement for a system reset.

Although Android Auto (wired connection) initially loads automatically, it consistently loses the connection after a few miles. Even when it is restarted many times, the connection is still lost within a few miles each time. If I have a predetermined destination for my route, the system will retrieve the journey details as if the connection had not been lost. Based on the information provided, it seems that the application is functioning constantly and accurately on the user's phone. However, the issue seems to be in the connection between the automobile and the screen. Additionally, I see that the speed limit is only sporadically shown on the Android Auto vehicle screen. The information is consistently shown on the Command system maps and when using Google maps in the automobile.
Although the provider has already replaced the cable, I am still contemplating purchasing a new one. Could someone suggest an appropriate, top-notch cable that I can buy online?

In my opinion, it seems to be more of a cellular network coverage issue rather than a problem with the cable.
Due to the outdated nature of my Sony Xperia, it is unable to use the NFC pad located in the centre console. As a solution, I have fitted a mobile phone holder equipped with a USB connection. This holder positions the phone at a similar height as the digital dash, without obstructing any visibility. Whenever I connect the mobile phone to the vehicle, the car establishes the connection. I am able to visually see the Android symbol, the current amount of battery charge, and the intensity of the received signal. The lone challenge I had was elevating the console module, threading the wire through it, and then creating a sufficiently sizable aperture at the periphery of the cup holder plastic. Finally, I connected the USB connection to the vehicle's USB outlet located in the centre console.
When doing this installation, choose for a left-hand drive (LHD) holder rather than a right-hand drive (RHD) one.
(I own a left-hand drive vehicle, but I mistakenly purchased a right-hand drive holder). However, I made adjustments to the clamp in order to securely attach it to the vent panel, positioning it somewhat further from the dashboard.

Is this an integrated Apple CarPlay / Android Auto system or an aftermarket accessory?
Please provide me the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the email address
