The F10 535D (2012) has a loss of power once the battery is removed.

Greetings, everyone.
I need assistance. Yesterday, I changed the gaskets in the oil filter housing. In order to create more space, I disconnected the wire to the alternator and removed the negative terminal of the battery. The battery remained disconnected for a significant amount of time, about a couple of hours, while I completed the task.
Subsequently, I reattached the negative battery terminal and started the vehicle's engine. Here is when the problems began.
The vehicle starts and maintains a stationary engine speed. However, the dashboard is not functioning. The only indicator on the dashboard is the letter P, which stands for Parking. The windows are inoperable and the key's lock/unlock function is non-functional. The inside lights are not functioning. The On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) system is malfunctioning, preventing me from connecting to the ISTA+ diagnostic tool. Activating the volume button triggers the display of the iDrive system screen.
The automobile will operate well, however it is unable to shift out of the park position.
Seeking assistance, I resorted to using carrier bags to shield the windows from rain last night due to my inability to shut the windows or secure the vehicle.
Additionally, it is worth noting. Regrettably, I inadvertently closed the trunk after attaching the battery, and now I am unable to reach the trunk since the button is non-functional.
I attempted to connect a jumper pack to the terminals in the engine compartment, but the issue persists.
Is it possible that this issue is caused by a fuse or a relay?
Assistance from anybody would be much appreciated. Assistance in getting access to the boot would be very appreciated, as it would allow me to inspect the fuse box located in the back. The seats in my 5 series cannot be folded down, therefore it may need the use of an angle grinder to do this task.
Thank you in advance.
