I am interested in selling my Kia Sportage 2 CDRI ISG (1.7 Diesel).
Expiration date: May 30, 2025
ODOMETER READING: 72,000
REG: Omitted for security purposes
I purchased this vehicle in a private transaction for a total of £5,500, with an additional value of £2,000 for the part exchange. During a recent visit to my local garage for a pre-long-distance trip inspection, my mechanic thoroughly examined the car and identified several issues. Although he confirmed that the car is running adequately, he strongly advises installing a turbocharger and intercooler, along with the necessary pipe work. Additionally, he recommends a power cleaning for the intake and diesel particulate filter (DPF), as well as a comprehensive servicing. The automobile experiences coolant loss and the underside of the engine is coated with oil.
Subsequent background investigation reveals that the automobile is categorised as 'Salvage' due to its prior sale via a Copart Auction, where it was sold with a technical problem.
My spouse has now declined to drive the automobile, thus I must sell it. However, I am uncertain about the car's value considering its current faults and the presence of a 'Salvage' label.
I would much appreciate any suggestions.
