Initial observations on the M4 Competition.

After 2 weeks, I continue to search for justifications to go on a car journey. :p The driving posture is optimal and the seats are really comfy. I have also familiarised myself with most of the technological features of the automobile, albeit some of them will not be used.

I find the HUD to be really advantageous and practical, which first caused me to be doubtful but now I rely on it consistently.

The automobile exhibits exceptional stability and provides precise steering input, which, if not handled with caution, might potentially result in accumulating a significant number of points on one's driving licence. ;)

Being my first BMW, I am profoundly pleased with it, to the point that describing my satisfaction as anything less would be a significant understatement. It is also very cost-effective in terms of juice consumption.

You may consider specifying the model, year, and series for the F series and G series. The mention of the M4 is ambiguous. For instance, I own an M4 with the F82 designation.

Apologies, but the model you are referring to is the F82 from the 2020 model year.

I too own the F82 M4 and I have been enjoying it for two months now. The performance is exceptional, however the fuel efficiency takes a dip after driving the 640d. The one observation I have made is that the engine produces a higher level of noise than anticipated, including the presence of injector tick. I will adhere to the BMW schedule for servicing, since it is an authorised used vehicle. Additionally, I will continue my practice of regularly doing interim oil changes. I like using the head-up display with my previous 640 model, and I really appreciate its presence in the M4 model.
Thank you

Typical engine sounds,I recently made a comment on this topic, stating that it resembled the N57 engine. If you desire an additional 100 bhp, I suggest considering the bootmod3, which is highly impressive. Additionally, I had the vrsf single midpipe installed, resulting in a significantly altered sound profile for the car. The previous raspy and feeble sound has been eliminated, and downshifts now resemble those of a professional racing car. I could provide further details, but these two modifications are all that is necessary. Oh, and I also had the 4 pin insane crank hub modification performed.

In addition to its superior fuel efficiency, how does the M4 differ from the XKR?

Frankly speaking, I find the M4 superior in several aspects, a sentiment I never anticipated expressing. The M4 is much more user-friendly. The vehicle has four functional seats and provides enough storage space, which contributes to the user's satisfaction. ;)
There is little body roll while entering corners, in contrast to the XKR which exhibited noticeable body roll.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with the automobile and relish any chance I have to drive it. I am pleased that I switched and do not have any nostalgia for the XKR.

That is a commendation of great significance; nonetheless, it is important to ensure that the license is not forfeited.
