AMG Issues

Hello, I own a 2007 CL63 AMG. Upon rapid acceleration, the vehicle experiences strong jerking and hesitation between the third and fourth gears. It is somewhat challenging to explain. Overtaking or just enjoying the vehicle is very unpleasant and intimidating. I have just had the gearbox repaired and the speed sensor plates replaced. Could this be an issue with the gearbox solenoid? It seems to struggle in locating the appropriate gear, resulting in intermittent pauses. Leading to an abrupt decrease of acceleration, hence causing the jerking motion. Do you have any suggestions? I am fully attentive.

I regret to learn about your gearbox problems. Did the problem originate just after the gearbox service?

Thank you for your response! No, that has been occurring previous to the service. The ABS warning light illuminated on the dashboard, and my technician diagnosed the issue as faulty speed sensor plates.

The problems were same previous to the repair, however the ABS warning light illuminated before the service, correct?
Has the ABS indicator activated again following the service and repair?

Not everything is satisfactory. It shifts gears flawlessly until I accelerate aggressively. There are never any warning indicators when it does "the action" (as we refer to it).

What kind of gearbox is this? 722.6?

I assert that this is equipped with the older 7G gearbox rather than the MCT gearbox.
Primarily, assess the level.
You may want a conductor plate or a similar component, but the exact term eludes me. It must be coded, necessitating a reputable independent or main dealer.

When I had a CLS350 equipped with the 7G torque converter gearbox, it exhibited significant notchiness, inferior to the 5G-Tronic gearbox in my S211 320. Does the gearbox malfunction in all settings? i.e., comfort/sport modes use the buttons or paddles. I discovered it will override the unusual shifts while use the manual mode paddles or buttons.
The MCT became available in the E-Class and C-Class only in late 2009. I found the MCT to be far smoother than the 7g torque converter. The 5G TC box is perhaps the most seamless of all.
It may be advisable to see an automatic gearbox professional to reset the adaption programs in the gearbox.
