Electric lift supports

Hello, I own a 66-plate 4 Series Grand Coupe.
The electric boot has ceased functioning. It will decrease but will not increase. Occasionally, it will descend just halfway. I am rather perplexed over the nature of the issue. Perhaps a sensor is malfunctioning, or the struts lack the capacity to elevate the boot any more.
Thank you.

It is advisable to conduct a scan first, since they depend on sensors and module signals; hence, fault codes may effectively identify the issues.

Have it scanned by an automotive electrician. Similar to an obi?

Any location equipped with software capable of reading all modules and interpreting codes.
ISTA is your optimal choice; where are you located?

It is quite far from my location; had you been nearer, you would be very welcome to use the ISTA diagnostic tool.

What will the cost be for the diagnosis?
