Greetings

Kia Sportage GT-Line S 5-Door Automatic 2022, now at Kia garage due to recurring low battery alert activation nightly. The vehicle is disassembled, with several concerns identified; nonetheless, no resolution has been achieved, and Kia Technical is encountering difficulties in diagnosing the problem.
The car alarm activates, and upon my arrival, I am unable to use the key fob for entrance. Extract the key, remove the cover, unlock the door with the key, then click the 12V battery reset button, which activates the complete vehicle alarm; mute it by pressing the door open button on the key fob. Start the vehicle and let it to idle to accumulate charge.

Are there any other members experiencing this issue?

Other complaints include alarm malfunctions in other Kia models, often attributed to a defective motion sensor. I lack familiarity with the low battery problem, however I suspect it pertains to the charge condition of the 12-volt battery. Utilise the Search Community box to locate relevant discussions.

We acquired a 9-month-old Sportage GTLine HEV in early September, and we are experiencing the identical problem. The 12V battery alarm has activated four times, and the vehicle is inoperative. I have returned to the dealer and attempted many solutions, but I am unable to address the issue. Have you resolved yours yet?

A suboptimal but temporary solution may include deactivating the internal and motion alarms, a practice used during ferry transit to prevent alert activation due to both interior and exterior movements. You may at least have a restful night's sleep till the issue is resolved. Upon unlocking or starting the vehicle, it is necessary to deactivate the alarm once again.

This began yesterday with my HEV GTLine S. The problem occurred on Sunday after the deactivation of Daylight Savings Time on the Head Unit. I saw promptly that the vehicle no longer deactivates the USB port after 5 minutes.

Have any of the other owners received a sufficient response that I might want my dealer to investigate?

EDIT: I have seen from another discussion that it may pertain to a defective door lock module. My dealer is scheduling a diagnostic for the vehicle.

My 2014 GT Line S is experiencing the same issue; it has just begun, but I am unable to insert the manual key into the keyhole. I am perplexed and dissatisfied that I am unable to access the device to charge the battery.
Update: The following day, I successfully opened the door upon realising that a portion of the door handle cover needed to be removed. However, I am unable to initiate it; I may have a depleted battery, since the alarm has been intermittently sounding throughout the night. I have contacted the dealer and am awaiting a return call.

I am experiencing the same problem, which began yesterday night. I am awaiting a callback from the garage. Is your vehicle a hybrid? If yes, could you kindly indicate the location of the 12v battery reset button? Is it identical to the start button? Thank you

In your post, you state 2014, but I believe you intended to reference 2024, as shown by your signature. In the HEV, the 12V reset button is located next to the Parking Brake switch on the dashboard, to the right of the steering column.

Indeed, it is 24. I located the reset button; it became apparent with closer inspection. Doh! It functioned just as you said; the alarm activated, I quiet it using the remote key that was now operational, ran it in neutral for a short duration, and the battery warning indicator on the app turned to OK, indicating that everything is good. I am concerned as I observe your article; I anticipate recurring issues. Thank you for your assistance.

The method for removing the door lock component involves having an individual pull and hold the handle outward while you insert the key and tilt to detach the trim. Upon unlocking the vehicle, the alarm may activate, particularly when you briefly press the 12v reset button, after which you can deactivate the alarm using the remote by pressing the unlock button. The vehicle will thereafter start standard operation.
