Can anyone elucidate why my previous W211 320 CDI from 2007 featured a headlight washer button adjacent to the primary light switch, whereas its successor, a nearly identical model produced merely six months later, has entirely omitted this feature and only activates the headlight washers approximately every ten uses of the main windscreen washer system? Strange - were the accountants only exhibiting Mercedes-like behaviour?

It should wash every 5 minutes while the headlights are on.
