This recognised problem makes driving this vehicle quite unpleasant, as it accelerates abruptly at intersections and emits a sound reminiscent of a 1970s camper van. I am aware that I am not the only one experiencing this defect. I am curious about the likelihood of my dealership accepting the return of this vehicle. I have returned once and was informed that it seems all Kia vehicles exhibit this characteristic. It pertains to the high-torque clutch and the petrol engine, among other factors. This circumstance is causing significant stress and is very frustrating. Reviews indicate that dealers and Kia dismiss this problem, leading me to conclude that I cannot return it, despite its impracticality for safe and peaceful driving. If anybody has had this problem, please inform me. Thank you.

I had a practically new automobile with 1,000 miles on it; it functioned well for three weeks, after which it ceased to do so.

Attempt the throttle reset; it may be effective.I did not get a result.

Engage in relentless solicitation of the dealer for test drives, particularly in reverse; an unmanageable situation.

I exchanged mine and received a disappointing outcome; it was a dreadful experience.
This may not be beneficial to you, but I recognise when to confront challenges with automobiles.

Wishing you the best.

Did you, by any way, get gap insurance? 😊

Greetings, thank you for your response and for validating my concerns, affirming that it is really a problem rather than my overreaction. I have not performed the throttle reset; nevertheless, they offered to examine it but said that it would likely not make a significant impact.
I did not have gap insurance since it is a Motability vehicle, which exacerbates the stress due to the necessary excursions. I believe I may return it and seek an alternative, but I am in dire need of mobility. Thank you. It is regrettable that Kia would not acknowledge this issue as well.

Deactivate your radio and listen for a motor's whirring sound after about 15 seconds. Maintain your foot flat on the floor until the sounds cease, as it undergoes many cycles. They are rather silent. After around 30 seconds, I would recommend considering it complete.

The transition to first and second ratios was facilitated, although the engine produced a more pronounced rasping sound while shifting to third and fourth speeds, which subsided after a brief period in the higher gears. More convenient yet louder! I will provide an update on my dealer data next week.

I acquired my 74 plate Xceed GT-Line in September 2024 and have performed the throttle reset. Aside from occasional stalling, I am rather satisfied with the vehicle so far. The throttle requires acclimatisation. The experience on 18" wheels is pleasant; nonetheless, tire noise is the primary concern at highway speeds, however I can tolerate it. The 140bhp, 1.5-liter engine operates smoothly and provides sufficient power for daily driving. Simply apply more throttle upon departure, and you should have no issues. I have not had any troubles with the automobile since its acquisition.

Thank you for your feedback; I am pleased to hear that your concerns have been addressed.
There is no tire noise, just a straining, revving engine due to pressure on the accelerator. It may be something distinct.
Obtaining it for examination next week.
