I have been seeking a credible solution intermittently for the last two to three days. According to my findings, the coolant specifications were altered in 2014, specifically after April of that year. My vehicle, as shown by the VIN decoder, has a release date of May 13, 2014. As it is already beyond April, I anticipated a pink coolant; nevertheless, mine is blue. I have conducted searches on Opie Oils, Halfords, and Eurocarparts using the registration number, but their information is inconsistent, with some indicating blue and others indicating pink. Do you have any insights on whether the "Release date" refers to when the vehicle departed the factory or when it was first used on the road, implying it was manufactured prior to April of that year? I can find no record of it having been changed before, and I have had it for five years. Last year, I received a notification indicating that it requires refilling as an additional service. The automobile has already traveled 72,000 miles.

My 64-plate E-Class used blue coolant.
The primary dealer should be capable to provide the appropriate part using your VIN.

Merc has advised that I must completely drain and flush the existing blue fluid and replace it with the red fluid. I will now investigate the method to assure the complete evacuation of the blue fluid and see whether any seals need replacement, unless I can locate further blue fluid.

It is all red now (from MB); you will need to do a flush and replacement, unless you choose to only augment with Prestone, which is said to be compatible with any coolant.
What evidence supports my certainty on this matter?
Recently, I had many fluid changes on the 2008 SL63 AMG; the red fluid was introduced, and I will not dispute the specifications of the Mercedes-Benz provided fluids with Steve at Avantgarde.

Yesterday, I purchased coolant for my 2006 C55 AMG since it is due for replacement.
Mercedes-Benz of Newcastle I received an email stating that it cannot be used for topping up, and if I use the red fluid (the only option provided by MB), I will need to cleanse the system as mine is blue, which it is.
That is my intention, hence everything is satisfactory.
It is a very simple DIY project; nevertheless, a substantial quantity of distilled or deionized water is required for successful execution.
Numerous YouTube videos, some of which are significantly inaccurate.

No seals need replacement; to my knowledge, incorrect antifreeze has never been reported to damage rubber seals in any vehicle.

OP, you have two options: provide your registration and VIN to a primary Mercedes-Benz dealership's spare parts department and get the response, "Mercedes-Benz exclusively offers the red fluid now, and it cannot be mixed; you will need to perform a complete system flush, Sir."
Alternatively, you may search the Internet repeatedly in hopes of locating a sealed, non-expired, well preserved 5-liter container of the original product, or a credible substitute recommended by a trusted source.
This, quite surprisingly, is the 'reliable' response you had been seeking.
I must rely on the assertions of MB and Steve at Avantgarde regarding the recent replacement of green/blue coolant with red coolant (from MB) in my 2008 SL65 AMG V8 M156, which has no prior record of coolant replacement. Additionally, I will soon be substituting the blue/green coolant in my 2006 C55 AMG with the red variant.
If both vehicles overheat or emit squealing noises, or if both engine blocks fracture over the winter, I will inform everyone here.
The SL63 is performing well in the hot weather without any cooling concerns, at least until the head bolts fail, but that is a another discussion.

Mercedes used blue coolant until 2014, after which it was replaced by pink coolant.

Thank you, does the antifreeze only need to conform to the 325.6 specification, or is the actual MB product the only one that really fulfills this standard?
