I am considering purchasing a 2005 A8 and would want to know where I can purchase a refrigerator similar to the one in the W12, as well as its price. Is this installation straightforward, or must I visit Audi for it to be completed?

A retrofit kit is available for purchase from Audi; however, your vehicle must possess a load-through hatch to accommodate the refrigerator. Alternatively, you may create your own load-through using a new trim piece.

Are you referring to the incision in the trunk? If that is the case, I believe it has one. Is it an endeavor I can do independently?

The load-through is located behind the rear armrest; if equipped, it is immediately identifiable. If absent, the area behind the armrest is just upholstered with leather. I have installed two load throughs on my A8s so far. Acquire the new boot trim for the area behind the passenger seats with load-through capability, and proceed to remove the existing trim. Remove the blank plate and meticulously excise the leather from the armrest side to enlarge the opening.
Affix the new trim and secure it in the refrigerator. The refrigerator has a trim cover to conceal the incision in the leather that you have created.

I have just acquired my new A8L 2023 edition.
Regrettably, it lacks a back seat refrigerator, which was essential for me in my previous vehicle.
Could someone with more expertise inform me if there is an OEM part that fits or an aftermarket alternative suitable for the skypass hole I possess?
I own separate chairs.
