I have now owned both a Gen 2 V10 R8 and a Huracan Evo. Which option do I like, and if I were to return to the V10 platform, which one would I select?
I preferred the R8 over the Huracan. What is the reason? I like the inside; it exuded superior quality. I like that the HVAC settings and volume could be accessed without using an MMI screen, in contrast to the Huracan Evo. During the last week of my ownership of the Evo, the MMI screen remained unresponsive. I appreciated that my R8 had no electrical malfunctions, in contrast to my Huracan.
The Huracan is more striking, both aesthetically and in its performance, and attracts far more attention. Ultimately, that is insufficient for me to prefer it as a vehicle.
Here is the crucial point: if I revert to the V10 platform, which model should I select? Response:
A hurricane! What is the reason? Transitioning from a Lamborghini to a R8 may evoke a sense of "downgrade." Should I return, I will likely choose either a Tecnica or a '24 AWD Spyder, with the latter being my preferred option. Indeed, the R8 is superior in performance; yet, the Huracan elicits a greater thrill for weekend enjoyment.
