EV3 Towbar Installation Specialists

Has anybody located a UK installation for towbars and electrics for the EV3?
I have attempted three (one local and two national) without success so far. Notification that either electrical components or towbars are now unavailable.
My nearby Kia dealership even endorsed one of them.


Assistance is welcomed.

Upon reviewing previous postings in this EV3 subforum, you will likely discover that at least one individual has had a tow bar installed.

Had mine installed by a Kia dealership. An order was required to be placed initially, followed by a waiting period of about three weeks for the arrival of the tow bar and power pack.

Thank you! My dealership in Cumbria use a firm from the North East that said they are awaiting the delivery of the electrical kits, suggesting they are aftermarket products.

My Kia dealership in Cornwall required just one week to get the components. Outstanding performance and quite discreet while not in operation. My post about the tailboard has been resolved.

Indeed, it is necessary, since the official Kia electric kit and towbar are already available for order.

The dealer installed my towbar, and I was informed that using a dealer may be preferable to use an independent service. The majority of the lower rear section of the vehicle, including the rear bumper and sensors, must be disassembled. The undertray has to be either removed or cut in two locations: one for the electrical components and another for the towbar receiver, after which everything must be reassembled. Allowing the dealer to handle it eliminates concerns about the warranty for the sensors and related components. Ensure you inform your insurance carrier, since it constitutes a change. LV enquired about my role as a moderator, but does not impose any more fees.

I requested my dealer to get a tow bar and electrical components two months ago, and I am still awaiting their arrival. Experiencing considerable frustration.

Thank you everybody for your responses. I enquired with my local dealership, but they do not do installations themselves and sent me to an installer from the North East who currently lacks stock. I previously own an EV6 and encountered the same difficulty, prompting me to have one fitted by Telford Towbars; unfortunately, they are still unable to get stock for the EV3.
I may use a different dealership in another county to get authentic KIA components, provided they can do the installation.
