Have they combined Remote and Secure Tracker?

Two years ago, following 12 months from initial registration, the Secure Tracker component of my three-year InControl Services lapsed, and I chose not to renew it, reasoning that I reside in a tranquil, law-abiding area and seldom drive to any major cities, occasionally visiting Leeds but never parking overnight. The yearly cost of £260 seems unjustifiable.

I like Remote for its ability to track rides and initiate auto functions remotely, and I intended to renew it for an additional year. In 2023, there was an opportunity to renew InControl Remote for £160 for a duration of 12 months.

Upon accessing the links on the App to renew Remote today, it seems to be only offered as a bundle with Secure Tracker, with the sole choice being a subscription for both at a cost of £260 for one year. I am inquiring if I inadvertently ignored a drop-down menu that would have let me to pick "Remote only."

It is too late to retract now, however I am curious whether anybody has lately managed to renew the Remote element independently.

I shared your perspective and renewed Remote only in October of the previous year.
Additionally, I contemplated whether I would really want its return if some miscreant were to take it.

The remote must remain accessible for separate renewal, since some owners, like myself, do not have a fitted tracker and so cannot subscribe to the secure tracker service.
I have recently renewed my remote application.

“InControl Remote and Secure.” The former cost £260, while Remote was far less expensive, but I cannot recall the precise amount at this time.

I contemplated for some time, since it is not inexpensive, but ultimately I opted for the latter due to my urban residence, which provides me with piece of mind.

Thank you for the responses. I was foolish not to take the time to verify the Remote-Only option, since there were still 10 days remaining on the current membership. Insight acquired.

I must confess I was unaware (or neglected to read it thoroughly!) I have recently renewed and paid £260. During the next renewal, I will have my partner handle it. If it is taken, I can hold her accountable. Additionally, she may use the remaining funds towards yet another handbag.

Contact customer support by phone to request a modification due to a website error or ambiguous purchase, likely protected under remote buying regulations. However, it may be more effective to communicate via email. If they refuse to accommodate your request, consider halting the payment on your credit card, if that was the method of payment utilized. That often garners attention!
