Hello, I am encountering the aforementioned mistake and want assistance in comprehending the procedure I should follow to diagnose the issue. It is a detection of an evaporative leak. I have replaced the gasoline cap and cleaned the tank hole to ensure a secure seal. The code was cleared, however it reappeared after a fair duration.
Could someone provide guidance on the fault identification procedure? Any videos would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
OBD II scanner indicates Error P1494 related to the evaporative emission control system.

Examine the purge valve on the engine; if air can be expelled via it when disconnected, it is defective.

Thank you. Is it also referred to as a PCV valve? Does this video demonstrate how to locate?

That is the engine breather, not the fuel tank ventilation.
You are seeking a compact solenoid with an inlet from the fuel tank and an outlet to the intake manifold.
Which engine is it?

Remove the upper engine cover, and it should be clearly visible on the B48. Above the manifold

I have removed it, and it is entirely obstructed, so I think it is functioning well. Do you have any more thoughts?

I have deleted it, and it is blocked; thus, I presume it is functioning well.
