Cx90 towed away, colliding with the park.

After travelling around 10 feet, the vehicle would abruptly engage the park mode. The tow truck driver regarded me with a dismissive expression, yet subsequently, the vehicle abruptly engaged the parking mechanism as he manoeuvred it onto his flatbed. Previously, I experienced numerous issues with the iStop feature, hybrid battery, and engine breakdown.
Has anyone had a similar occurrence? The vehicle has 31,000 miles on it.

Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle or Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle? It is believed that your vehicle becomes inoperable upon receiving those undesirable malfunction alerts, particularly in the case of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). Probable cause attributable to the error...
This may or may not be pertinent, but I believe my car exhibits this behaviour when operating at moderate speeds (in the driveway), without the seatbelt fastened, and with the door ajar. This is typically the method employed by tow truck drivers to load a vehicle onto their bed.
The CX-90 perceives itself as a saviour, akin to the moment one shifts from Neutral to Drive at the conclusion of a car wash (without using the brakes), mistakenly believing it was an error. It negates the propulsion function. Subsequently, you must reposition the gear with your foot on the brake to Park (or so I have done) and then to Drive before it permits you to operate the vehicle.
A consequence of governmental overreach and/or a trivial litigation, I surmise.

I have never encountered this experience at all. Upon shifting from neutral to drive after exiting a tunnel car wash, the vehicle accelerates smoothly.

It appears to be related to the following, as stated by Mazda:
Shift position limitations:
The shift position transitions to the N position for safety during the execution of the following operations.
- When the vehicle attains a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or greater, the selection lever transitions from the R or D position to the P position.
I have experienced this once or twice, contingent upon the car wash and the timing of my leaving.

Mazda has verified that it requires the hybrid battery, with a lead time of two weeks.
I have also encountered that car wash phenomenon. The situation was somewhat unfavourable as I had to enter the park while someone approached from behind me.

Based on my experience, the CX-90 will not maintain the gearbox in drive if the door is opened; it automatically shifts into park. Occasionally, they excessively contemplate safety and fail to recognise the potential desire to have the passenger door ajar while manoeuvring a vehicle slowly onto a flatbed.

Retrieved the vehicle. The hybrid battery was evidently responsible for all the problems. It appears to be functioning properly now.
