Greetings. Is the CV joint for the propshaft on the X5 xDrive25d available for separate purchase and replacement? I would like to ascertain the necessary steps before detaching the exhaust and heat shield to avoid repeated disassembly.
Does anyone own the part numbers for the CV joint and the universal joint? I require them to refurbish the components now installed in my vehicle. I am aware that it requires the centre bearing and guibo, but I can locate these components.

It appears that there is no CV joint configuration present.

Do you believe that implies a whole new propshaft is necessary?

The connection at the differential end features a splined configuration secured by a large nut.

Is that exhausted? If that is the case, it necessitates a prop change job, similar to the UJ, unless a facility for prop reconditioning can be located.
