My Mini possesses these codes. 002CFA, 002D2B, and 00321D I clear them, and they reappear as the fuel tank approaches emptiness. 114,000 miles. It exhibits a pause or stutter at specific RPMs during operation. I intend to sell it shortly, but I must decipher these codes first. Thank you.

The codes reappear exclusively when the fuel tank is nearing depletion, which is an intriguing indication. You also indicated a hesitation—have you observed whether it occurs within a certain RPM range? Incorporating that detail may assist someone in elucidating the situation.

I observe the hesitations at approximately 2000rpm, but solely while driving in urban areas. It appears not to occur during acceleration or at highway speeds. My wife observed the check engine light illuminated when the fuel level was low.

It is unlikely, however the fuel rail pressure sensor may be the culprit; my son has a 120d exhibiting the identical problem, and I suspect it utilises the same engine. This may seem imprudent, but attempt operating the vehicle with the traction control disabled. A recommendation indicated that it displays the pressure sensor.

I will attempt that. Thank you

I have experienced failures in low-pressure fuel pumps where they continue to produce noise, yet the impeller detaches from the shaft or slips. A pressure range of 4 to 6 bar is considered optimal. A proficient diagnostic tool can assess both low and high-pressure readings, as well as injector performance. Additionally, conducting a leak-off test on the injectors is advisable, as I have observed instances where they return excessive pressure to the fuel tank.
