Is Waze Dependable?

I am ambivalent. Identifying dangers in advance should be highly advantageous; yet,...
Four HADECS 2 installations are located on the eastbound M4 between Junctions 10 (Reading South) and 8 (Maidenhead). I am familiar with this stretch, and it has been present for several years. I have encountered several issues with the subpar Chinese head unit in the ML, however it has been functioning properly lately. During the outbound journey to Reading, it was unable to connect to the iPhone, resulting in the absence of Waze. Rebooting in Reading after parking resolved the issue, and everything seemed satisfactory. Nonetheless...
Upon returning, the traffic was relatively sparse, prompting me to deliberately exceed the speed limit by approximately 8 mph as I approached the initial HADECS. Waze remained silent, despite indicating both the 70 mph restriction and my transgression of it. I have confirmed that audio alerts are properly configured and the volume is set to an audible level. The identical occurrence transpired for the remaining three HADECS sites. The notification regarding the lane closure was standard.
Furthermore, to exacerbate the situation, when I interact with the screen to submit a report, there is no option available to report a speed camera. What is the process by which Waze acquires notifications regarding new cameras?
