Rear crossmember of the estate

I observe that this is an outdated thread, however there are no responses to the enquiries. I will initiate a new thread. Is anyone manufacturing the rear crossmember for estate vehicles? Pre-owned items are quite rare in the Canary Islands; but, I will be in the UK early next year and could acquire one if it is available. A pre-owned unit in satisfactory shape would suffice if priced appropriately, specifically not over £500 for a whole rear subframe component requiring significant welding.

Greetings, it is similarly rare here. Seemingly more abundant in New Zealand. One forum member from that platform may read your message and respond. No reports of anyone manufacturing them here. The Jag X-Type cross member, believed to be compatible, is not.
In reference to your initial post, I will examine Facebook Marketplace on your behalf.

Indeed, I observed that the jaguar was situated in a distinct section; I will also attempt the New Zealand approach.

Access Facebook Marketplace and participate in one or two Mondeo MK3 communities. Another individual is seeking one as well and has received some responses that appear promising.

Exercise caution regarding those who claim that their 'friend' possesses the components and provide contact information outside of the primary messages to obscure the fact that they are communicating with several recipients.
We had an individual here, and upon investigation, I discovered he had defrauded individuals across multiple forums, among other platforms.
Verify their email address through Google and conduct searches for spam or scams, ensuring that your payment specifies items rather than friends and family transactions.

I believe it would be too expensive to import from New Zealand, even with surface transportation.
Obtaining the bare cross member will be labour-intensive and hence more costly for the wreckers, since it necessitates the removal of all arms and shocks; some may find it not worth the effort, but enquiring poses no risk.
My typical choice is DIY Boneyard; but, due to their charges for each component, one must completely disassemble items to avoid incurring costs for used shocks, arms, and other parts. Due to the manner in which the vehicles are supported, it is occasionally impossible to remove items.
The vehicles I have observed at the boneyards are often those that have been poorly maintained prior to their arrival; yet, they are normally in acceptable condition, exhibiting only surface rust. In my locality, road salt is unnecessary, however I am uncertain about regions further south that experience snowfall in winter. One I observed was nearly immaculate, exhibiting no surface rust whatsoever. Wreckers would acquire superior equipment compared to DIY setups, in my opinion.
