The 520d fails to start.

The vehicle was driven into a ditch due to a flooded road, resulting in minor water exposure. It operated normally for three days thereafter. However, after parking it overnight, the engine cranks but fails to start. Despite attempts to prime it, it has not turned over for five days. The only visible damage is to the front bumper and fog light. New glow plugs have been ordered as a potential solution, although there are concerns regarding other issues. The engine has been inspected for water damage, and no water was detected in the injectors, nor was there any noise from the timing belt.

Please provide greater specificity regarding the issue.
If the engine does not turn over, then the glow plugs are irrelevant to that issue. Frankly, their demise would not prevent its commencement.
Could you clarify whether "not turning" indicates that nothing occurs when attempting to start, or whether it is a crank-no-start scenario?
Please provide details regarding the car, including its age, and indicate whether any diagnostics have been performed.
I am unclear regarding your reference to hearing water in the injectors; also, there is no timing belt, as it is chain-driven.

The engine cranks but fails to start. I mistakenly referenced the belt. A mechanic employed at BMW conducted an inspection and informed me that, to the best of his knowledge, no water had infiltrated the engine or the injectors, which is his assessment.
2012 BMW 520d, chain replaced 25,000 km ago, clutch replaced 25,000 km ago, recently fully serviced with a new turbo installed due to failure of the previous one. The only code present is for the EGR, which has been indicating for some time; I am awaiting the arrival of a blanking kit.

It is necessary to examine live data to assess fuel pressure readings, engine RPM while cranking, and other parameters if no more codes are recorded.
The blanking kit will not rectify the EGR fault code, as blanking the EGR generates a code unless it is also remapped.

It will be delineated, along with the DPF being mapped and eliminated.
The engine RPM is approximately 150 during cranking; there is no discernible sound difference, resembling a standard start. However, it appears unable to achieve combustion. All electronics are functioning properly, and there are about 12 litres of fuel in the tank. Unless the fuel lines are somehow hydro-locked, the cause of the issue remains unclear.

150 is a relatively low cranking speed; I would anticipate a range of 200-250, based upon battery condition.
I believe that a 150 RPM crank will not produce sufficient fuel pressure for the injectors to activate.
Real-time data is essential for assessing the prevailing pressures.
What device was utilised for the scanning, as certain generic scanners may not detect all fault codes?
