Has anyone utilised the Pipercross air filter? I have recently installed one on my 2010 2.2 Civic and am enquiring whether the sound it produces is typical; it emits a distinctive, droning sporty noise that I find appealing.

If you are content, all is well.
Diesels would never sound good with induction noise as a petrol does

Understood, it will not have any long-term effects. Have you ever operated it? I find the droning sound quite appealing; it is not the unpleasant type of droning one could imagine, however I struggle to articulate my thoughts clearly.
Thank you.

No, it will not cause harm, as it continues to filter the air, and if you appreciate it, that is satisfactory.
If it is an oiled filter, do not excessively oil it; if it is a dry filter, there is no need for concern.

Impressive I was uncertain whether it may result in future developments, but as you mentioned, it is still in the filtering process, so all is well. Thank you for your response. 👍
