My warning light activated, prompting me to halt my vehicle. The RAC transported me to the garage, where I was informed that the wet belt required replacement. However, I am now experiencing low oil pressure and a misfire in cylinder 2. The sump, filter, and oil have been replaced, yet the low pressure and misfire persist. Can anyone assist me?
Thank you.

Moist belts may deteriorate and result in various obstructions. What does your garage imply regarding the observed debris? The misfire may be an independent issue - what fault codes are you receiving?

Honestly, I was never informed about the codes. My issue is whether it can be repaired at all. The garage that performed the wet belt service is unaware of the cause of the misfire and low oil pressure, but I do not wish to continue investing money if the car is irreparable.

The shop has observed the debris/fragments but cannot ascertain their origin. The oil filter has been replaced, the spark plugs have been changed, and new oil has been added; yet, the issue persists in the vehicle.

The garage appears to lack competence. I recommend taking the vehicle to an independent Peugeot specialist, as they possess expertise in Puretech engines and are equipped with the appropriate diagnostic tools.
The misfire and low oil pressure may be two distinct problems. Detritus from the saturated zone might induce chaos. The entire lubrication system, including the oil pump, must be meticulously cleaned.

Thank you. I will seek an independent Peugeot garage, as it is a good car and I prefer not to scrap it if it can be repaired. If I visit the major dealer, they will likely advise me to scrap it.
