Is this utilised by anyone?

Does it record continuously, allowing for manual video saving at any time, similar to a dash cam?

I am aware that it possesses an automatic save feature in the event of a crash. Has anyone experienced a minor incident and found this automation to be dependable?

Any firsthand information would be much appreciated!

Greetings, insightful enquiries! I have not utilised that specific type; but, I possess some insights regarding dash cam usage in general.

Indeed, the majority of these gadgets operate in continuous loop recording mode, so perpetually documenting ongoing events.
Numerous devices additionally permit manual clip saving (via a button or application) when one encounters content they wish to retain, much to a conventional dash cam.

The automated save feature during crashes or impacts can be inconsistent. If the bump is negligible, the G-sensor may not detect it as a "event," resulting in no automated saving. Some users indicate success with minor effects, while others assert it is only effective with more substantial results.
If you are purchasing it for reliability in minor collisions, I recommend testing it, if feasible, by executing a gentle, controlled touch and verifying whether the incident is recorded or preserved.

I would not directly depend on it. I was sideswiped while returning home after having a dash cam installed; how ironic! Out of curiosity, I examined the drive recorder. No progress was preserved despite a significant impact.

The BMW Eye is subpar and should not be regarded as a viable alternative for anyone. The video quality is inadequate, it lacks integration with iDrive, and ultimately, it is a budget configuration with an additional £200 charge merely for the branding.

When evaluating the WOLFBOX g900 tripro, which is an exceptional dash cam, priced at £269.99 on sale, the comparison is unequivocal.

I apologise for removing the quote from Cotswold's article, as they are no longer a seller and cannot advertise BMW products.

My dashcam (Nextbase 422W) records even during strong braking manoeuvres. I believe I can modify the G-force sensitivity, although I cannot recall the specifics. I must format the device every two to three weeks, as I possess a huge SD card that captures both front and rear videos. I have configured it to a two-minute loop and think it is a 128GB card.

I possess the 622GW together with the auxiliary back camera. I transferred a Blackvue front and rear dashcam from my previous C43 to my M340i; however, it was outdated and the application was subpar, so I kept it installed when I sold the vehicle.
