Window Covers for Your Kia Year

At the tail end of April 2025, our brand new Stonic was initially registered. Everything is going swimmingly thus far. The vehicle is in perfect working order. Our total mileage thus far is 4,500 miles. Our company has a service plan.

I was wondering if anyone knew if the KIA service window was one month prior to or one month after the registration date.

Would appreciate any guidance.

It seems like a month's grace period if you look at the service plan terms and conditions. Additionally, your dealer can verify or provide you with accurate information.

The situation is unclear. Very perplexingly, the service book only specifies "12 months intervals from date of registration," even though the remainder of the book refers to 24-month terms. No wiggle room is indicated. The EMAC service plan doesn't provide a date, however it does say: "Customers can take advantage of Kia Care service plans that cover up to 11,000 miles per year, matching the usual service interval (10,000 miles per year plus a 1,000 mile grace period, for example).
If you are near the 10,000 mile service interval, that indicates ±1,000 miles, which is subjective in my opinion.

I want to get my car serviced as close to the 12-month period as feasible, in my case, at the end of March each year, since I don't go quite that much mileage anymore.

As a general rule, Kia will tolerate a one-month or thousand-mile servicing delay.

The service is due in April, though. To schedule for late March, I will be calling the dealer right away.

The earliest I could get was 24 February, and I booked mine on 6 January. Regarding my dealer.

I also scheduled my car for late March, following the Christmas and New Year's holiday. Since it is on a bus route, I won't require a courtesy car; however, I am certain that my boss will insist that I visit a local garden center to peruse the seed catalogue and other plant-related items.

Fortunately, mine is confined to the house.

In order to have mine serviced on its first birthday, I scheduled it around eight weeks in advance last year. The dealer contacted me approximately eight weeks in advance to schedule the second service. completed its second service last Thursday, precisely one week prior to its birthday. It's a relief that it was completed "early" because the app immediately displayed the battery as "abnormal" when returning the car to our house. The dealer has scheduled a diagnostic check for tomorrow after I called. Rest assured, I can rest easy knowing that the battery is covered by a 24-month warranty that ends on Thursday.

Just in case there are any warranty difficulties, I would now schedule the servicing a couple of weeks before the registration anniversary instead of trying to get it done as soon to the anniversary as possible.

I appreciate the thoughtful feedback you've given.

I will make an appointment for our Stonic to be serviced as soon as possible. Plus, I'll go with a little before the anniversary.

The suggested service window, which is 30 days before or after the first registration date (subject to the mileage restriction), could be significantly more useful. And that is just what our caravan provides.
