Restocking on the Steering Rack
Has anyone had success getting this repaired? I was informed the replacement steering rack part was back-ordered until April or May. I am presently pursuing a Lemon Law case, and my vehicle has been at Mazda since 12/15/25. Attempting a final repair is within their legal 10-day window after receiving the certified letter. It worries me that they would try to install a used steering rack and claim they "fixed it." The replacement component is reportedly still on backorder.

I recently had the rack on a '24 PHEV replaced and I'm in Canada. It took approximately 32 days for the repairs to arrive and be fitted after I brought it to the dealer in -30 temperatures when the power steering stopped working. As far as the dealer is concerned, the rack and motor arrived in separate packages.

The possibility that they install an outdated version should cause you concern. Even though my Dealer said they wouldn't, they went ahead and did it anyhow. Reason given: we are obligated to implement their suggestions. Fake news.

The service printout contains the part numbers. From what I can tell, the part number you're looking for is KJK8-32-110C. The third iteration of the rack, 110B, is the one I finally settled on. Even if the new rack has been functional, I must confess that I am still enraged. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me the distinction between options B and C.

Without the printout, I just picked up the vehicle. After they finish processing everything, the tech promised to email it to you. Hopefully, that's the correct part number!
