In order to unlock the car, I had to draw nearer and nearer until it finally stopped working. After swapping out the wiring harness, I installed a used diversity antenna. For a moment it worked, but now I can't open the spoiler without waving the key fob over it. In a strange twist, everything functioned well while I was parked in an underground garage. Is there a way to figure out what it did and make it happen again? Unfortunately, my attempt to line the casing with foil was unsuccessful. The fact that the signal was bouncing back in the parking lot indicates that everything is working as it should.
Is the power in your key still working? Changing the key battery was the last step in fixing my issue after going through the identical process. Because my key's battery was sealed and not removable, I had to open it, solder a new battery in, and use a new plastic shell for the key fob.

In my opinion, it's fine. After inserting the key, the dashboard does not display any messages. After a friend reflowed solder on several suspicious-looking joints, I switched out the DA for the one that stopped working completely yesterday, but it hasn't helped.
I've seen refurbished ones on eBay, so it would be helpful to know which section of the circuit board is the central locking element. Surely it's possible

Too harsh! You can try out several antennas until you find one that works because eBay offers excellent buyer protection.
The hinge looms also had numerous wire breakage, which was another issue. The wires had snapped on either side of the prior repair, which wasn't immediately apparent, but it had been fixed before. It may have been an unseen broken wire with a weak or high resistance contact.
