Here is a positive update for you!
At last, the vehicle starts. I was worried about the engine's condition before the auction because it was a non-runner when I got it. We discovered the engine was rotating but would not start when it arrived. Before I contacted Ghost, we double-checked everything, and they verified that the vehicle had the technology installed. After 20 minutes of the engine running smoothly, the technician who put Ghost on my GLC returned with all the necessary details about the vehicle, including where the device was hidden. After another 20 minutes, the task was finished. We will have a party this night!

You should be proud of yourself since that seems like a big win.


It was obviously not going to work because of the Ghost immobiliser. That was brilliant; I hadn't thought of that. Maybe you can fix it yourself and save a tonne of money if you simply have a few parts

I purchased in excellent condition headlights and a bonnet with the same colour code for £1100; the vehicle is almost ready to have the bumper and wings blended. Incidentally, regardless of what MB claimed, all W212 bonnets are identical. What a complete moron. I noticed that the air conditioner wasn't functioning when we started the car, so we'll have to repair the condenser. Ugh, more labour.
When I was younger, I used to take care of most of the car repairs myself because I enjoy working on small projects. However, after moving (we sold the property and waited six months for completion, rented an apartment, and the buyer decided not to proceed the day before completion—shock!), I now have to pay the garage man for everything.

If your 212 is similar to mine, replacing the condenser should be a simple do-it-yourself project (you can even keep the front bumper).
