I am familiar with the sensation; it has been troubling me. The prevailing opinion among several organisations is that it is a result of the gearbox reconfiguration.

I assume that xhp refers to gearbox software, which would explain the presence of this option in my son's automobile.

I am mostly similar; the one instance I have seen is my son's vehicle, which exhibits this behaviour, although it has had a gearbox remap.
