I need a CAN frame dump from a cluster of instruments.

A place for open-ended discussion on any car-related topic.

Good day,

Perhaps an unusual request: I am in search of an individual capable of running CAN frames dump on Instrument cluster.
Dumping is best done during the normal ride.

I'm using it for a small CAN analysis DIY project.

In advance, I appreciate it.

Since we recently acquired the vehicle, I have not yet linked it. I would like to investigate it, though. My tools include an OBDLink-SX and an AVT-852. I do own another high-end one, but I need to be sure I remember which one it is.

Tell me the program you're using to record the information.

Hello there, I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
A USB-to-CAN adapter is the most basic tool you'll need for any kind of can analysis.

I'm interested in a different CAN network, and the one available on the OBD socket is different (DIAG).
In this vehicle, you'll find multiple CAN networks.

Let me investigate. Exploring CAN would be an enjoyable first step.

With the lights, buttons, and warning indicators constantly changing, the cluster traffic during a typical drive would create an intriguing baseline.
