I am seeking assistance or guidance on my vehicle, namely a petrol-powered C180 AMG Sport model with a 63 plate and an accumulated mileage of 120,000 kilometers.
The problem originated from irregular or suboptimal idle.
The garage saw significantly reduced levels of oil and coolant, although no visible indications of any leakage.
After replenishing the supply and allowing a week to pass, there was little improvement seen and no indication of any leakage.
However, while dropping off the automobile at the mechanic, it became apparent that the catalytic converter was emitting a vibrant red light.
I have been provided with guidance on acquiring a new feline companion. The issue of ££ should be resolved, however, it is not.
Subsequently, new plugs were installed; nonetheless, the issue remained unresolved.
The cylinder pressure test indicated that the pressure in cylinder No. 2 was lower than expected.
It has been suggested that the potential cause of the issue might be related to an injector malfunction. Alternatively, it could be attributed to a valve seating problem or a more significant underlying defect.
I ceased the task before to engaging with the injector.
I am fond of the automobile and would be willing to invest further funds into it; but, I am uncertain of its overall value and if it is a worthwhile pursuit.
I am seeking assistance from your expertise and experience.

The aforementioned concerns pertaining to the C180 AMG Sport vehicle provide a multifaceted scenario. If the individual has a strong emotional connection to the automobile and is prepared to allocate resources towards repairs, it may be prudent to seek an alternative perspective from an alternative technician or a specialist specifically trained in Mercedes-Benz vehicles. This would serve the purpose of evaluating the precise problem and providing an estimate of the associated repair expenses. In order to make a well-informed choice, it is advisable to carefully evaluate the repair expenses in relation to the present value of the vehicle and the emotional connection one may have towards it. This assessment will enable individuals to choose if it is prudent to proceed with more repairs or explore other possibilities.

It seems that the shop is indiscriminately replacing auto components without doing a thorough diagnostic assessment.
I would suggest engaging the services of a mercenary expert in order to pursue additional tasks.

Insufficient compression is indicative of potential issues such as a blown head gasket, broken valve, or leaky piston rings, all of which need costly repairs.

A comprehensive diagnostic is necessary in order to accurately assess the situation.

I hypothesize that the engine in question is the M271, which has gained notoriety for its timing chain complications. Have you encountered any instances of such issues? The presence of a rattling noise at start-up, uneven running, and the illumination of the engine management light are indicative of a potential problem that, if left unaddressed, may lead to significant damage to the engine.

The leak down test is used as a first step to determine the location of compression loss.

The 2013 C180 model is equipped with the M274 engine.

I, as an individual, have not directly encountered or through the aforementioned challenges. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that there is much documentation about timing chain problems in the M271 engine. It is important to swiftly treat symptoms such as rattling during starting, uneven running, and the illumination of engine management lights in order to mitigate the risk of possible engine damage. In the event that one experiences these symptoms, it is recommended to seek the services of an automotive professional for a thorough inspection of the car.

Thank you for graciously imparting your valuable expertise and knowledge. The garage was originally not designed for motor vehicles, indicating an oversight in its primary use.
Develop a strategy to get a quotation for the item. If the provided information is deemed insufficient, it might be considered a report from an MB technician.
I have a suspicion that the issue may be related to either the rings, valves, or head gasket. I will provide updates as the situation progresses.
