As indicated by the headline, my 1994 300tdi vehicle has recently shown vibrations during periods of acceleration. The vehicle has good performance when cruising; nevertheless, it experiences vibrations upon acceleration. Do you have any suggestions about the aspects to be examined and the first steps to be taken?

Greetings

Have you verified the information about UJ's?

Furthermore, does it begin this action immediately upon starting from a stationary position?

When driving a vehicle at around 50 miles per hour, one may choose to shift the transmission into neutral and observe the resulting effects. If the vibrations cease as mentioned above, please inspect the universal joints and proceed to gently shake the propeller. I had a similar issue few months ago, and subsequently identified the root cause as the failure of the prop shaft due to a broken universal joint.

I would recommend prioritizing the first investigation of easily identifiable factors.
Are universal joints present on both propshafts? Are the engine and gearbox mountings properly secured?
Seek a secondary consultation from a passenger in order to obtain an additional perspective and endeavor to refine the symptoms and/or location.

I am now experiencing a similar problem with a 2003 Discovery vehicle that has accumulated 98,000 miles. My objective is to identify and resolve the underlying issue. I came across information on another website suggesting the need of inspecting the rotoflex. The rubber component of my device exhibited signs of cracking, prompting me to get a replacement from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) at a cost of $110. However, this course of action did not provide the desired outcome. Upon inspection of the front drive shaft, it has come to my attention that one of the plugs on the rear spider exhibits signs of metal degradation. I have procured a novel propeller shaft spider and want to undertake its replacement and subsequent documentation.

Hello everyone, and thank you for your responses. The user's message was then shared in the defending area, where they also included the term "uj's." The whole proposition is being replaced because to limited service history and the desire to do the task just once. The issue was resolved by the installation of new universal joints (UJs) on both ends of the new prop. Paddoks provide competitive pricing for their components. Considering the hypothetical scenario of my previous ownership of a Celica GT4, it is quite likely that the prop alone would have cost several hundred pounds. I have just acquired a package from Prop Inc, which includes new universal joints and bolts, as well as oil, air, fuel filters, and a rocker gasket. The total cost of this package, including delivery, amounts to £88. Negotiation for a lower price or favorable terms.

The 98 300tdi Discovery vehicle has recently shown a particular behavior. Despite replacing the prop, the issue persists. However, when removing the prop, the issue ceases. It has been seen that there is a little degree of play in the output bearing. Is it possible that this play in the output bearing is the root cause of the problem?
The occurrence began subsequent to the installation of fresh polybushes onto the radius arms...

Could someone provide an explanation for the misalignment of the universal joints? According to many online sources, it is said that the acceptable range is within a three-degree margin. The temperature of mine is around 30 degrees Celsius.

Upon further examination, it was seen that there were lifeless rubber components present on the front anti-sway bar. I will provide an update once the issue has been resolved.
