It has been a considerable duration since I last shared any recent retrofits made to my vehicle, as I have been mostly focusing on retrofitting other vehicles. However, I have recently managed to allocate time to retrofitting an electronic steering column to my car.
The automobile I own was originally equipped with a manual lever version of the steering column. However, upon acquiring a used electric column, I found it necessary to replace the existing one.
In all, the refit process lasted little more than three and a half hours. This duration included tasks such as installing supplementary wiring, dismantling the steering wheel and old column, installing the new column, calibrating the steering system, reassembling all components, and performing necessary coding procedures.
The appearance may elicit fear, nevertheless, the severity of the situation is very mild. Currently, I possess a functional Easy Entry system that facilitates the movement of the driver seat and column when opening the driver door. Furthermore, upon starting the engine, the seat and column automatically return to their predetermined positions, which can be conveniently set using the seat memory controls located on the driver door. Additionally, it maintains distinct column locations for both my key and my spouse's key.

I have a query about your proficiency in Retrofit, since you have achieved a task that I have been unable to do, despite the fact that my implementation was pre-installed by the manufacturer.
To enable the retraction of the steering wheel and the backward movement of the seat upon opening the driver door, what steps should be taken? In my previous experience with a Lexus vehicle, I saw a certain behaviour. Consequently, when I made the decision to choose the electronic steering column option for the Q7, I had the expectation that it would exhibit a similar characteristic. However, this anticipation was not fulfilled.
Is there a configurable option inside the MMI system or is it an obscured code element?

The functionality can only be achieved if the vehicle is equipped with both an Electric Steering Column and Driver Memory Seat buttons. Are there any controls on the driver's seat that allow for memory settings?
In the event that the user does not enable it, the functionality may still be activated using the code provided on the user's code post inside this topic, specifically located under the section under "easy entry."
Is the Easy Entry option available in the "Car / Vehicle Settings / Seats / Driver Seat" menu? Please also verify its presence in that location.
I express my gratitude for your assistance.

Your work consistently demonstrates excellence. Would it be possible to request a little video clip showcasing the movement of the chairs and wheels?

I am experiencing a similar level of bewilderment with my own situation. The vehicle is equipped with an electric steering column and electric memory seats that were installed at the factory. The user has the ability to use the "Easy Entry" feature inside the MMI system's seats menu and has selected this option. Upon opening the door, it is seen that the steering wheel undergoes an upward movement, while the seat side bolsters deflate. However, it is noteworthy that the seat itself remains stationary. May I inquire about the available seating options, Andy? It is possible that the Sports Seats Plus do not exhibit mobility in conjunction with this particular function.

It is peculiar that they are not moving despite the simple entrance option being enabled. May I inquire about the year of manufacture of your vehicle? I am curious as to whether the previous iterations of the 4M did not had the feature activated inside its code. The proposed modification involves a coding alteration to guarantee its activation.

The item in question is precisely identical to the one that was present inside my automobile. Previous iterations of the vehicles under consideration lacked the inclusion of Easy Entry functionality alone for the seats, with the steering wheel being the sole component to possess this feature. I have successfully implemented this functionality in the code for both seats, as per your requirements.
