A few weeks ago, I made an effort to replace the battery. However, after doing so, a warning light indicating a problem with the gasoline pump appeared and the vehicle entered a severely restricted operating mode. It was unable to exceed 2,000 revolutions per minute and could not move faster than 10-15 miles per hour.
After taking it to the technician, it was discovered that the vvt motor was damaged. It was subsequently replaced, but the issue persisted. He believes that a short circuit is impeding the correct functioning of the new variable valve timing (VVT) motor.
Does anybody has any notion on the course of action or the nature of the situation? The technician has previously inspected many wires and fuses in the engine compartment.
It is becoming more expensive.

Have you attempted the magical reset by disconnecting the battery for a duration of 20 minutes or more?

The information provided is too ambiguous to make any definitive statements on the causes. The VVT motor has had a catastrophic failure, however the provided information is insufficient to make further assessments.
Which codes are being extracted from it?
It requires thorough diagnostics performed by an expert with a deep understanding of the subject matter.

This is the original message sent to me by the mechanic. They have installed a new variable valve timing (VVT) motor, but the problem remains the same. Additionally, when I initially tried to replace the battery, a warning light for the fuel pump appeared. I don't recall the exact code, but I do remember that when I researched it, it indicated that the fuel pump was nearing the end of its lifespan. This was never an issue before. However, this information does not appear on the diagnostic tool.

It is worth considering that, while I have little experience with automobiles, I am aware that there is a correct protocol for disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

Require inspection of the electronic box since it has a fuse for the valvetronic system, and maybe a relay as well.
