Hello everyone I am new here and just acquired a MY17 GLA 220D 4matic.
I am experiencing a few problems.
I am unable to link my Android phone to the infotainment system despite having Android Auto installed on my phone and attempting to connect it via a USB cord.
Is there a simple issue I am overlooking, or is my system unable to establish a connection with the car? The Bluetooth phone works well for calls. There are text messages on the system from the previous owner. Is there a method to wipe these messages from the system?
Thank you in advance

Could the solution be as simple as removing all phones from the system and then re-pairing your phone as the only device?

Verify whether your vehicle is equipped with Apple CarPlay and/or Android Auto. It was an optional service that incurred a fee.
Examine your Datacard for the following choices:
14U - Package for integrating smartphones
16U - Carplay integration for smartphones
17U - Android Auto Smartphone Integration
The first need is hardware, namely a USB port for a Smartphone.
The second line contains the licence for Apple CarPlay.
Android Auto is on the third line.

According to Vincoderz, I have all three of those possibilities. When I connect my phone to USB, nothing occurs with Android Auto.
Highly irritating

1. Test an alternative USB cord
2. Update the Android Auto application on the phone and restart the phone.
3. Test your friend's Android phone.
4. Bring the vehicle to a dealer or independent expert for the Audio20 software upgrade.
Additionally, check whether there is an option in Audio20 to automatically launch Android Auto upon connection.

Everything is now organised well. Purchased a Ā£25 dongle from Amazon, connected it, and now everything is functioning well.
