Greetings, everyone. I am experiencing recurring post catalytic converter oxygen sensor malfunctions on my e90 2.0 petrol vehicle. If I decide to replace the sensor, is there any further action required to inform the car's system that a new sensor has been installed, or can I just change it and leave it as is?
Thank you.
Install the post-catalytic converter oxygen sensor.

Simply reset the problem code after the replacement component has been installed.

If the sensor is defective, might it potentially trigger further failure codes?

That is feasible I have seen it do such behaviour before.
BMW vehicles may exhibit several issues when a single component malfunctions.

The indicates that the Nox sensor is reporting ageing, but I am aware that it is a recently installed sensor, therefore it cannot be experiencing ageing. This situation is distressing and frustrating for me.
