What is the highest viscosity oil that I may use? I would want to schedule an oil change for tomorrow and use the thickest oil available to address the issue of engine knock.

Using a heavier oil will not resolve an engine knock. The recommended oil for that age of vehicle is 0w30, but you may also use 5w40 LL04. However, it is unlikely that using the latter would eliminate the knocking sound.

I have observed that using a higher viscosity oil or using cleaning agents, such as the ones mentioned below, may effectively reduce the noise caused by knocking.

Is 5w40 LL04 more viscous than 0w30?

All the other things are ineffective or fraudulent remedies.

I have just seen your previous publication.
Unfortunately, oil is not a viable solution for that, my friend.

In the past, we used to use Wynns oil addition, which had a thick consistency similar to treacle. We would add it to the engine to temporarily mask any knocking sounds, allowing us to sell the vehicle. However, the effects of the additive would wear off with time.
