My wife is interested in purchasing a Mercedes-Benz convertible, and the E-Class seems to be a suitable choice. She derived pleasure from her CLK (and we still maintain that it is more aesthetically pleasing) - yet, considering their age and the likelihood of requiring maintenance... In addition, the Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) seems to have increased significantly.
Is one engine more dependable than the other, with the sweet spot for her being either the 220 or 250? I sometimes see the number 200 - can you provide a description of its characteristics? Is it necessary for me to worry if the automobile has accumulated more than 100,000 miles? Do you have any more remarks? I have informed her that it is unlikely to have a budget of approximately 6K.
Is anybody offering a product with a reputable and well-documented past for sale? Significant accolades for a white item with a crimson inside - I would earn her favour for a minimum of one week! Laughing out loud

Ensure to inspect for moisture spots under the carpets. Convertibles may exhibit indications of dampness caused by water infiltration if the vehicle has been exposed to outside conditions.

Will it fall inside our financial constraints?
(It is black, if my recollection is accurate)

Observed a pair of individuals on an online platform, but when contacting them, their responses were not just vague but also deliberately avoiding giving direct answers. There is no need to rush.
I typically avoid purchasing automobiles that have accumulated more than 100,000 miles. However, if there is a verifiable record of regular maintenance and repairs, should I still have any concerns? Sue will thrive on an annual income of less than $4,000.
Does this seem satisfactory? The vehicle is equipped with a panoramic roof, which provides an exceptionally wide and unobstructed view.

That seems to be both aesthetically pleasing and reasonably priced (even AT, which is known for its discerning taste, agrees).
Conduct thorough research on the MOT (Ministry of Transport) requirements and consider using tools like Car Vertical. Then, inquire about the whole service history of the vehicle.
Services for the gearbox, replacement of belts (unless it is a chain), tyre replacement, detailed inspection of paintwork, assessment of the roof's condition and evaluation of the dealer themselves.
However, if you are in need of a cost-effective diesel convertible, this option seems to provide fair value.

A budget of £6,000 would be sufficient to purchase a well-maintained CLK or a worn-out E class. I know which option I would choose.

I understand and respect your perspective, but have you ever attempted to persuade a woman to alter her opinion?Expressing sadness... Is there any fresh information? There is no need to rush since we will be leaving for Brindisi for a week starting from Sunday.
