I need help locating the fuses for my 2000 Audi A8. Only 4 fuses were in the only location I checked in the trunk. In addition, the edges of my dashboard are not a flat piece of plastic but rather air vents. Where may they be hiding?

To access the keyhole-shaped hole in the plastic covering of the side column just inside the right front door,

In case you need it later. The D2 has many places for fuses.

First, a plastic cover sits directly over the battery.

You'll find a plastic nut that may be opened by hand near the carpet on the floorboard of the passenger compartment on the right side of the vehicle.

Third, there's a wooden (at least on mine) cover held in place with two or three screws beneath the carpet (under the passenger's carpet in left-hand drive vehicles). A second fuse box, more relays, and connecting posts (some GND, some switched 12v, some 12v) may be found underneath that.

If your radio suddenly stops working and the fuse isn't blown in the pillar fuse box, you may potentially find a spare fuse on the rear of the device.
