The BN4 servo must be an original from 1957 or before.

A 100/6 Bn4 Austin Healey is being restored by me. I'm hoping to install a brake servo, however it must be a vintage model from 1957 or before. In order to compete in the Italian 1000 Miele event, I am having the vehicle restored to its original condition, or as close as possible to the condition it would have been in if it had been installed in 1957. I am open to purchasing a unit in any state and am glad to restore it or buy one that has already been renovated.

Brake servos were not installed on BN4s.

Yes, I am aware, however in the 1000-Mile Race, you may use Age-Related Upgrades. I was wanting to improve braking performance while retaining the factory front brake drums. Possibly too lofty an aim, so I'll stick with the current configuration.
Your response was useful, so thank you for that.

Disc brakes are a good improvement because of their age.

I upgraded the stopping ability of my 100 6 by installing disk brakes. It would be authentic to the time period and I believe it was an available option for the automobiles.

The brakes of a 100S were discs. It accurately reflects that time period.

You're fine; I appreciate your assistance. The 1957 BN4 received a front disc brake improvement due to wear and tear

The BN4 included optional disc brakes for all four wheels. If the 100S is any indication, they were the same.

The disc brakes (Girling) from an early 3000 may be easily retrofitted into a BN4. The disc brakes on the 100S probably came from Dunlop. Those, by the way, are unobtainium.

It's possible that I've figured it out on my own. Supplier websites provide measurements for several vehicles, including BN4 to BJ7, 2,7/8 inches larger than the BN1 seal. My automobile utilizes a BN1 oil seal even though it is technically a BN4 since I measured it and found that its actual diameter is 2.3/4 inches.
Perhaps this is due to the fact that the can was an early BN4 Longbridge-built vehicle, as I am aware of.
