After replacing the battery in my e90, I am experiencing a situation where the car's engine cranks but fails to start. Previously, it was functioning without any issues. The automobile was subjected to a code scan and now no fault codes are being shown. I have previously replaced the crankshaft sensors as a precautionary measure. Each time I start the vehicle, I detect the odour of petrol, which leads me to question if the fuel pump is the issue. Additionally, I have examined the fuses and found no apparent problems. I have conducted an extensive search in several locations and attempted every available option, nevertheless I have not achieved any positive results. I have received information from an individual who has had a similar problem, suggesting that the key may need recoding. However, I am uncertain about the process and the individuals capable of doing it. Could someone assist me with this issue? I am becoming more annoyed since it was initially a simple task of replacing a battery.

Re-examine the fuses. Have any connections in close proximity to the battery been disrupted?

There were no disruptions to any connections. Nevertheless, there was water present in the battery compartment, which I promptly absorbed. This might perhaps be a contributing factor to the issue. I have thoroughly inspected the fuses and they are all in proper working order. I am really perplexed since my vehicle was functioning well before replacing the battery.

Which equipment did you use for the scanning process?

Both the "Car Scanner" and "Carista" apps indicate that there are no error codes.

I would suggest attempting a solution that is tailored specifically to BMW vehicles. It seems that there may be a potential issue with the synchronisation between the immobiliser and the DME (Digital Motor Electronics) system.

I have installed the application "BimmerCode" on my device, but unfortunately, it is not compatible with my vehicle. If the immobiliser and DME (Digital Motor Electronics) have lost synchronisation, what steps should I take to resynchronize them? Alternatively, is specialised software necessary? Thank you!

Bimmerlink and Bimmercode are compatible with your vehicle.
The obd dongle is not functioning properly.
This particular option will be effective.
