Greetings, everybody.

I own a 2013 E220 W212 AMG Line and I need to replace the front brake discs and pads. I am considering using Bosch branded discs and pads. I would want to hear from anybody who has used these and learn about their experience with these products. Thank you.

I lack experience with Bosch brake components. Since my vehicle is equipped with ATE brakes, I will only purchase ATE components until I get them directly from Mercedes-Benz.

Enquire about the cost from the authorised Mercedes-Benz dealers on the eBay platform.

I commend you on obtaining the pricing from MB, particularly the Ebay store (MB Newcastle). You may find it to be a nice surprise. Brembo is also an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), especially on AMG cars. Similarly performing brake discs may be obtained on Autodoc or ECP at very competitive costs.

I have discovered that the MB components available on eBay from Mercedes Edinburgh or Mercedes Newcastle are priced similarly or even lower than aftermarket parts.

I have installed Bosch Quiet Cast Ceramic brake pads on my Suburban, along with new Centric brake discs. I have travelled a distance of 2200 miles without encountering any issues.

I am now exploring the many Mercedes choices available in Newcastle.

I just installed Bosch brake discs on my vehicle, which I purchased from autodoc. Initially, the user was concerned and somewhat irritated by the fact that the products were manufactured in China. However, with time, it has been evident that the products are satisfactory. The worn surfaces of the disc were protected against corrosion by a coating that resembled paint. Initially, I anticipated that the effect would diminish rapidly, but to my surprise, it persisted. As a result, the braking experience became rather unpleasant until the effect wore off. Consequently, I decided to remove the coating, or at least a significant portion of it, using abrasive paper. After the complete removal of the coating, the braking performance has been excellent and I cannot differentiate it from the original MB discs and pads.

In the past, I have had a tendency to place my confidence in Bosch for various matters and have never been let down. However, it is no longer reasonable to anticipate that many products are still manufactured in Germany.
