It is not primarily the wear, but rather that they come with less than 7mm, whereas most typically have closer to 8mm. They lasted 9,000 miles on the rear of my M4. In the past, I achieved similar mileage with an E46 330d, and I have observed significantly lower mileage with the diesels I have owned. Additionally, consider the Goodyear Eagle ASY6 or the new PS5, which I currently have on my M4.
