The back proximity sensor has ceased functioning when reversing; all other features, including the camera, operate normally. The button on the central console is activated for parking sensors, and when shifting into reverse, the camera activates, accompanied by a beeping sound. The dashboard displays a graphic of the vehicle with sensors at the back and an amber exclamation point in the centre. All other sounds, such as the indication, seem to function properly.
No apparent damage exists on the sensors, and I have sanitised the outside.
Do you have any suggestions? I have attempted to toggle the on-off switch for the sensors, but it has not been effective.
No audible alert from reversing sensor

The probable problem with the post is a faulty sensor, which I think can be tested with a multimeter. The type and year of your car have not been disclosed; however, if it still under warranty, a dealer should provide guidance.

It is a 2016 Sportage. I will examine his to evaluate a sensor; thank you for the response.

Out of curiosity, does the reversing light activate when the vehicle is placed in reverse?

Indeed, the camera activates as well; it seems that there is only an obstruction causing the noise cessation.

It is likely a parking sensor or its associated wiring.
