I first attempted to use my Neck Space 422GW dash cam with a parking setting that activates the camera if my vehicle is bumped when parked. The dash cam exhibits significant instability, sometimes remaining operational throughout the night, therefore posing a danger of depleting my battery. To resolve the issue, I propose connecting it to an ignition source, ensuring it is powered just when the ignition is activated. The technical staff at Halfords were unable to locate such a source in the fuse box under my dashboard, which is rather peculiar. At one point, I had two tax officials from Halford searching for a source that is only active while the ignition is engaged. Is there anybody who shares this issue or can advise on where to attach this dash cam in my Kia?

Additionally, install the batteries in the dashcam. that will manage the power consumption in parking mode

The 422GW need to be equipped with a rechargeable battery that operates in parking mode, therefore preventing the depletion of the vehicle's 12V battery. If yours is not suitable, you may get one here.

I used the harness from dongar.tech, integrating it into the rearview mirror. šŸ‘šŸ»

equipped with an appropriate ignition-controlled fuse and a continuous power supply. Utilise both for continuous 24-hour monitoring or use one alone for Ignition live monitoring.

Greetings, The fuse in my Sportage is rated at 7.5A, however it is labelled "10 Module" instead of "spare." Do you have any insight into what it may be?

I discovered that "10 Module" refers to a diesel fuel pump. My vehicle operates on fuel, and I have used it without any issues. I appreciate your invaluable support.

If you need it to operate just with the ignition activated, and either do not intend to use the parking mode or will depend on the camera's battery, then the Dongar is really the most straightforward choice.

Running a cable is straightforward if necessary, and my version has two fuses labelled as spare, which are connected to the ignition live.

If you install a cable, be cautious with the side airbag.
I use a dongle, but I also have a cable installed for my caravan's back camera display.
